The Podilka Edit Workspace on the Transcript tab: a transcript of interview_01.mp4 listed line by line with timecodes, play buttons and padding controls.

From one long recording to the exact moments you actually need.

Podilka helps you find, structure and extract useful parts of long audio and video without constantly hunting through a timeline.

How it works

From source media to individual clips.

A straightforward workflow built around the content itself.

  1. 01

    Transcribe

Turn your audio or video into an editable transcript.

The Transcribe panel with a file drop area, a selected media file, a Start Transcription button and a progress bar.
  2. 02

    Edit Workspace

Review the transcript, shape the cut structure and fine-tune timing before extraction.

The Edit Workspace panel with a Transcript list above a Cut Preview list, each row with timecodes and timing controls.
  3. 03

    Extract

Turn the finished structure into individual media files.

The Extract panel with a list of created files, an extraction log, an output folder and a Start Extraction button.

01 Transcribe

Start with the media you already have.

Choose a local audio or video file, select the language and transcription quality, and let Podilka create the transcript you will use to prepare your cuts.

  • Local media

Work directly with files already on your computer.

  • Choose the balance

Switch between Fast and Accurate transcription depending on the job.

The Podilka Transcribe screen: a file drop area with a Choose file button, the selected file interview_01.mp4, a language selector, Fast and Accurate quality options and a transcription progress indicator.

02 Edit Workspace

Turn the transcript into a cut structure.

Review and edit the transcript, find the exact moments you need and control how the source material is divided into individual cuts.

Transcript

Search through the recording, correct the text and work directly with the spoken content instead of repeatedly scrubbing through a timeline.

The Edit Workspace on the Transcript tab: a search field, padding controls and transcript lines with start and end timecodes, a play button and Before and After timing for each line.

Cut Preview

Preview the resulting cut structure, adjust segmentation settings and fine-tune the timing before sending everything to Extract.

The Edit Workspace on the Cut Preview tab: segmentation settings for max words, max duration, max characters and sentence-aware splitting above a list of cuts with timecodes and Before and After timing.

03 Extract

From planned cuts to actual media files.

Send the finished cut structure to Extract and turn it into separate media files while Podilka keeps track of the process.

Your source, cut structure and timing stay connected from editing through extraction.

The Podilka Extract screen: the source file interview_01.mp4, cut structure and output folder fields, Pause and Stop buttons, a list of created files and a progress bar at 57 percent.
